2024 Appalachian Autumn Market & Fall Festival

DUE TO HURRICANE HELENE, THE 2024 APPALACHIAN AUTUMN MARKET & FALL FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELED.

We are looking for SPONSORS and VOLUNTEERS for our 2024 Appalachian Autumn Market & Fall Festival!

Sponsorship Opportunities:

Pumpkin Painting Table - provide financial support for the purchase of pumpkins and paint supplies

Craft Activity Tables - provide financial support for the purchase of craft supplies

Apple Butter Cauldron - provide financial support for the purchase of apples and apple butter supplies

All sponsorships will receive: a complimentary vendor booth near the entrance of the festival; logo and backlinks included in marketing supplies and emails; VIP Corporate Museum Pass for the 2025 Season; 5 General Admission Tickets to the 2025 Season of Horn in the West.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Need volunteer hours for a resume or school project? We’ll sign off!

We need volunteers for:

  • Vendor Assistance - loading, unloading, packing, grabbing water, etc.

  • Child Supervision - at our KidZone; general supervision; refilling bubble trays, etc.

  • Museum Assistance - giving information and directions, taking down emails, assisting Museum Staff with random tasks.

  • Parking Direction - Keeping the parking lot flowing in an organized and orderly manner.

Volunteers will receive a Museum Pass for the 2025 season and 2 General Admission Ticket Vouchers for the 2025 Season of Horn in the West.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

ALL DAY: Apple butter making, pumpkin painting, corn shuck doll making, candle-dipping, hatchet throwing, face painting, weaving and spinning demonstrations, self-guided cabin tours, and vendors.

Entertainment sponsored by Mast General Store and the North Carolina Arts Council

1-2 pm: The Junaluska Heritage Association presents the Junaluska Community of Boone, NC

4:30-5:30 pm: South Arts Master Traditional Artist: Mary Greene

Traditional ballads, folk songs, instrumentals, and a touch of storytelling

5:30-6 pm: Music with Tucker Connor

6-6:30: Music with Eliza Eason

6:30 pm: 50/50 RAFFLE WINNER ANNOUNCED!

Open to the public! Join in on an old time jam, and make new friends.
